Dr. Maud Roucan-Kane had her initial studies at the Ecole d' ingénieurs de Purpan in Toulouse. Her PhD focused on the decision-making process associated with the choice of projects innovation projects in the agri-food companies at Purdue University in Indiana, USA. Successfully defended her PhD in 2010, she then continued her research and taught at the University Sam Houston, Texas before returning to France at the Ecole d' ingénieurs de Purpan. She now teaches financial management and farm management, grain market and futures and environmental economics courses. Dr. Roucan-Kane enjoys doing research on topics such as innovation, buying decisions of commercial producers, tools to manage uncertainty, and methods to improve learning in the classroom.
